New stretch goals and more sprinkles in Font Awesome Free!

First off, thank you all for the ridiculously awesome support. Last weekend we reached our $700k stretch goal and our 31st icon pack! That means backers now get access to 600 super-awesome Duotone icons and upgraded swag!

And second, we’re insanely excited to announce new stretch goals! We know these are extremely ambitious, but with your help we can get there!

More Sprinkles in FA Free - $1,000,000

We’ll add our and most-awesome Pro-only code features to Font Awesome Free! That means we’ll open source our super-awesome SVG Framework AND we’ll make all of our JavaScript component packages available as well! Help us spread the word and get to $1M so everyone gets more sprinkles!

JS Component Packages - $900,000

For React, Angular, Ember.js, and Vue.js, we’ll make framework-native JavaScript components installable through your favorite package manager (npm, yarn) for FA Pro. Free for all of our Pro backers! 

Timeline

We've had several questions lately about our timeline. Rest assured the top priority is delivering the original Kickstarter goals, and we will absolutely be on-time with delivery by May of next year (if not faster).

Admittedly, additional stretch goals will take more time. But we've got a ridiculously talented team that's perfect for this. Travis, Rob, and Brian are insanely good. We've begun work on planning, but we're not ready to announce just yet. Look for the full timeline sometime in the middle of December!

Happy Tuesday, wonderful Kickstarter backers!

Again, thank you all for blowing away our expectations on the Font Awesome 5 Kickstarter. We're fast approaching $650k and our 29th icon pack. That makes nearly 3,000 total icons in FA Pro and much more! Your support allows us to keep adding stretch goals so everyone gets more Awesome!

Speaking of stretch goals, we listened to your feedback and we're expanding our $700k stretch goal to include more duotone icons! And we're REALLY super-excited about the $800k stretch goal!

• More Duotone + Swag ($700k) - We're expanding the Duotone icon set to 600 icons. That's basically the entire size of all of Font Awesome Free! AND everyone ordering T-shirts and mugs gets their swag upgraded with 3 more styles for each AND we'll also throw in limited-edition, exclusive Font Awesome 5 sticker sheets AND magnets!
• Font Awesome Community ($800k) - All Pro backers get exclusive, permanent access to the Font Awesome Community, including user forums and voting! Help decide which icons go into Font Awesome 5 AND show off your site, discuss ideas, and get help with Font Awesome from the community!

Wow...we are just blown away by all the love and support!!! You guys rock!!!

Thanks to each of you, we are going to be able to add iOS + Android support to Font Awesome Free AND Font Awesome Pro! You've also unlocked 23 new icon packs! This means Pro is getting 690 additional icons, and Free is getting 230 new icons! We can't wait to start designing!!!

After such an Awesomely-unexected reception during the first week of the Kickstarter, we're extending early backer rewards for the duration of the Kickstarter!

For those of you on a non-early reward, we've already messaged you to let you know. You're welcome to switch to the lower price early backer reward equivalent. There will be no differences, just a lower price!
