Thank you!!!

Okay, first and foremost, thank you!!! Because of you, we were completely funded in less than 5 hours. And in the day since we launched, over 5,033 of you have supported the campaign and we've raised $171,397 at 571% of our goal. That's just amazing and beyond anything we could have hoped!


Stretch Goals!

Okay, Stretch Goals. We blew through these at breakneck pace. So far, here are the stretch goals you all have funded:

  • 9 additional icon category packs (One every $15k) - That's 90 more icons in Font Awesome Free and 360 more icons added to Font Awesome Pro! We're finalizing the categories now and will announce soon!
  • Duotone Icons of FA core icons ($100k) - the top 200 most used icons in Font Awesome are getting a schmancy duotone treatment. They'll be just as easy to use as Font Awesome with all sorts of fun controls. Stay tuned for more details!


More Stretch Goals Coming Soon!

We're planning a full set of stretch goals which you'll see later today. Here are some of the ideas we're kicking around:

  • Basic SVG support (Font Awesome Free)
  • Font Awesome Community (Pro) - a place to interact with other Font Awesome-ers and help each other out. Also, you'll be able to vote on new icons going into Font Awesome!
  • Local subsetter (Pro) - Not using all of Font Awesome Pro? 
  • Build and Awesome Icon Set ebook (Pro) - we'll document our entire process as we make Font Awesome Pro. Backers will get exclusive access along the way and an ebook at the end!
  • Sketch, Illustrator, and Photoshop plugins (Pro)
  • Multiple T-shirt and Mug designs
  • Font Awesome Stickers and Fridge magnets
  • Other ideas? Let us know!

Extending Early Backer Rewards!

Okay, we admit it. We've been terrible at letting folks know about when the early backer rewards are ending. And because reception has been so far above and beyond what we could have expected, we want to say thank you by extending Early Backer rewards until Monday at noon EDT! 

So please spread the word to your friends so they don't miss this super-low price! (And remember that after the Kickstarter, FA Pro will be $40 and each icon pack will be $10. That's a total of $180 bucks for just $20!)

Stretch Goal Update

You all are crushing the stretch goals! Our next big reward happens at $300k (just another $15k away!). We'll be adding basic SVG support for all of Font Awesome Free!

So far, we've unlocked the following stretch goals:

  • 14 Icon Packs Funded! That's 140 new icons in Font Awesome Free and another 420 icons in Font Awesome Pro. And stretch goal icon packs are included for free for all of our Pro backers!
  • Duotone Icons Funded! For the top 200 icons in Font Awesome, we'll create an exclusive duotone icon set for our Pro backers! Same Font Awesome ease of use, super-cool duotone effects!
  • Icon Set eBook Funded! While creating Font Awesome 5, we'll be writing and blogging about our process. At the end, we'll assemble all the articles into an eBook and distribute for free to all of our Pro backers!
  • Design Plugins Funded! We'll make it easy to use Font Awesome Pro in some of your favorite design tools, like Sketch, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Free for all of our Pro backers!

Funded Stretch Goals

You guys are crushing it! You blew through all of our 11 initial stretch goals before we could even keep up. So far you've earned:

  • 10 Icon Category Packs!!! (Funded!) - That's 100 new icons in Font Awesome Free and 300 additional icons on top of that in Font Awesome Pro. That means Pro now has at least 1,300 more icons than Font Awesome Free! That's a lot of icons! Stay tuned tomorrow as we release which Icon Categories we'll be featuring!
  • Duotone Icons (Funded!) - For the top 200 icons in Font Awesome, we'll be creating an exclusive duotone icon set for our Pro backers! Same Font Awesome ease of use, super-cool duotone effects!


New Stretch Goals!

Thanks to everyone for the awesome feedback in our last update! We've listened and put together a new set of stretch goals.

  • Icon Category Packs (next at $200k, one additional every $25k) - We're adding one more awesome Icon Category Packs every $25k! These will be given to all of our Pro backers at no additional cost, so spread the word so everyone wins!
  • Making an Awesome Icon Set eBook ($200k) - While creating Font Awesome 5, we'll be writing and blogging about our process. At the end, we'll assemble all the articles into an eBook and distribute for free to all of our Pro backers!
  • Plugins for Sketch, Illustrator, and Photoshop ($250k) - We'll make it easy to use Font Awesome Pro in some of your favorite design tools.
  • Basic SVG support in Font Awesome Free! ($300k) - We'll include basic SVG files for free in Font Awesome 5 Free! This won't include any of our SVG framework magic, but should make using Font Awesome Free easier on the desktop and for folks who love SVG!
  • Icon Subsetter ($350k) - We'll include a desktop tool that allows you to create your own custom package of Font Awesome Pro! You'll easily be able to subset to just the icons you need and assemble just what your site needs!
  • Thin Style ($400k) - Font Awesome Pro icons already will include a solid and outlined variety of nearly every icon. If we hit $400k, we'll add an additional style that's a lighter weight of our outlined icons.
